Ok the way I put it was uncalled for, and I apologize. I personally did not enjoy it, I found it rather boring. It never picks up, there isn't any switch-up, I just find it kind of bland. Also, the original melody is nearly overtaken by all the other sounds, it barely sounds like the tune its supposed to be based off of. Finally, if you're going to respond to criticism, constructive or not, by attempting to undermine my argument because I'm not a "producer", it just makes you seem like someone who can't take criticism like an adult.
Personally not enjoying it is fine. Everyone has their preference, but this is a remix -- and trap is just about the craziest genre swap I can think of for something like Future Fuckballs. Of course it's going to sound wildly different. Perhaps I should have called it a reboot, but you can still hear the original lead. Therefore, it firmly still is Future Fuckballs.
My point earlier was not to undermine your criticism. You're not a producer, so it's going to be a lot harder for you to appreciate what's happening behind the mixer, just like someone on the street is not going to hear sidechaining in a popular mix and appreciate it for being sidechaining; they're going to hear that wooshing wavy sound of the mix going in and out behind a thundering kick and think, "gee, this is cool," and that's about it. Producing changes the way you think about a lot of songs you hear.
Anyway, maybe you don't even like trap music; don't see any audio reviews. Why should I be seriously put off by one person who doesn't like what I put out when there are hundreds of peers on/off NG who enjoyed the mix, including @constromlie, who passed me his arrangement for a benchmark. Should I apologize and redo the whole song? No, that's ridiculous. Either people will like it, or they won't, but usually, the people who don't like you don't bother to check out your stuff. You give rude, and you get rude. You're nice, and I'll be nice. Give me some criticism to work with, like you just did, and I'll work with it, but if you're going to be an ass, stick with the routine. Apologies are for the apologizer, ya know?
