Loving all the chromatic scaling and whatnot going on here. Beautiful composition! Absolutely brilliant.

piggemz responds:

hey thanks stranger, glad u could catch this ol' tune of mine

I do hear it! Very nice. Clearly very Pokemon inspired. My only gripe is that it doesn't loop very well on its own, so it'd be pretty hard to use in a battle scene without trimming silence.

metroidfannumber1 responds:

Oh right the looping. I noticed that there was a looping option but I didn't get it set up for that so I said never mind.

A little long and drawn out, but it has this unending sort of urban, surreal feel to it, so I suppose that's a compliment of sorts. Nice work. :)

Hope you get scouted soon!

JayCarSpray responds:

Thanks! Yup getting a sense of the program

You nailed the chilling part -- or at least it seems as if a criminal is plotting something dastardly -- but sadness, not really. I get "cold suspicion" and "cruel intent". Percussion is good, but it could use some variation every now and then, or at least some reverb; it doesn't feel very... human? Perhaps that's the intent. Loops well though.

Very nice, and very weird! Interesting that you didn't intentionally include the main themes of Touhou, as well. I suppose the minds of great composers think alike. I like the dissonance!

Syzion responds:

Thank you!
Late respinse: I didn't realize this was originally from Touhou. I thought it was a composition from some pianist of some previous century.

Sounds reminiscent of Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie games. Very nice!

Alexwilsoncomposer responds:

That's what I was going for! I'm glad someone got it too!

Pretty soothing, but the snare is so bland that it's almost jarring. The heart-beat like kick with the delay is nice though, and makes up for it. Loops well. All in all, 5/5 vote, 4.5/5 review. Lower strings are a bit loud and very obviously synthesized, but that doesn't really take away from much. A light chorus effect, perhaps, with some pre-delay would probably fix that.

As I close my eyes and listen, it's as if I'm watching a mechanical construct orbit the earth, spewing red death and nuclear fire indiscriminately upon a metropolis, and as I stand in disbelief some distance away, the sky is a vivid orange, black with smoke. Really, it evokes a feeling of dissociative awe, and passive acknowledgement of the destruction. There is no hope, and I shall not move from where it is that I stand. I shall only stand slack-jawed and weep.

Insanctuary responds:

You still feel the emotion I put into my music. You picked up the passive hopelessness, instead of going on about how everything is being destroyed; some bland idea of pain and misery and then talking about buildings being gone - no, you felt the emotion as it was.

That is talent.

Pretty laid back and happy, from what I can tell. Some chromatic non-harmonic tones going on, same melody throughout, and it's relatively cohesive. My only complaint is that the piano synth sounds... too synth-y? Maybe it's just not my taste. Anyway, I liked it. Nice job!

Pardon the music theory jargon by the way; I'm a music theory major, so analyzing music is practically automatic, aha. You might want to check out some typical composing conventions for smoother voice leading (of course, rules are meant to be broken) and chord progression for future works. They can improve your writing ability tremendously.

Anyway, good listen. I enjoyed it. :)

It's rare to find a worship song that sounds this awesome. Favorited.
