UwU that opening is noice. Please tell me what that creaking sound is. It's a little too loud but I like it.

39 seconds I'm starting to feel like the intro is going on just a bit too long. 50 seconds, I've accepted it

I like your arrangement but think there is WAY too much reverb and the drums are too far down in the mix.

VERY NICE drum fill writing

I want to hear more bass throughout. The lead at 1:27 is much too loud without it.

Splendid writing.

Thanks for coming out to NGUAC!

Thanks !
In this mix, i use Hybrid synth to make the riffs, i find theses on the bells and leads presets.

Very calming, sad little chords. I would place this in perhaps ambient.

I don't have a lot of critique as it's quite a simple atmospheric piece. I very much like the touches at 2:17 playing with noise. However it is quite a long time to have a lot of the same elements playing without much in the way of transitions or change. Perhaps some play with other noise samples, transition noises, and varying more so when different instruments come and go will help with that. I think you did the best you could all things considered.

Your hihats are REALLY LOUD

I appreciate your writing and ideas throughout. I think it would sound a lot better with less reverb, a bit more variation in what instruments were playing at a time.

I appreciate that you play with half-time throughout.

Reminds me of olskool videogames.

Unfortunately the very loud hihat makes it hard for me to enjoy throughout. You really get a lot of use out of that thing!

The kick is also almost inaudible.

Splendid melody and structure however.

Thank u for the feedback!, I rlly will try to improve some of that points u mention.

Can't make many comments beyond I would appreciate just a bit more variation in the breaks and sections. Other than that, nice work.

F is for FREAKING MURDER EVERYONE
U is for UNHAND ME YOU ROGUE
N is for NO SCREAMING ANYMORE

I'm also genuinely concerned for your health

Some recommendations for mix -- less reverb on pretty much everything. just a bit less volume on your vocals at 2:02.

This sounds like a lot of noise and transitions thrown together. I mean that with absolutely no offense whatsoever. I'm not able to determine what is the main idea of each section unless it's like say 1:08 which is probably the best sounding part of the piece. It's clean.

1:28 was a nice chord. I had hoped we would chill with that and hit another weird drop or build.

I'm just not able to really understand what is going on until 2:05 again and am tapping my foot against my will it feels like haha. There is occasional really loud high frequencies. A lot of reverb makes some sections hard to make out. I recommend turning that down.

The next thing I would recommend is some study of music theory and song structure just to help you get out your ideas in a manner other people will understand. Signals Music Studios on YouTube has a great list of tutorials that are easy to understand and take ideas from for getting started.

Props for entering with a piece from 2007. Nostalgia <3

Nostalgia? funny, even Chopin and Bach didnt released some stuff longe ago - would u call their music nostalgic?! ;) ( i wouldnt dare 2 compare myself with these geniuses - but u get my point) Music, my friend - is timeless!

Lots of distortion in the left channel at 17 seconds. Actually, there's so much distortion I find it hard to make out until we get to our first... hook?

I appreciate the combination of various elements. I hear ghosts of voices that make this as frightening of an experience as walking in memphis at night in 2022. I'm kinda vibing with that.

At 1:39 the hihat is pretty loud. Like, super loud.

I'm starting to feel like I'm about to get run over by a train with the chords throughout LOL

I really think less compression and mixing quieter before you use master FX would help this piece a lot.

Interesting play with the stringed instruments. The drums stand out well in the mix, but I would really like to hear a lot more bass. It's almost inaudible until the chorus, and at the chorus it is very busy. Nothing wrong with a busy bassline, but with all instruments busy at the same time, it makes it hard to figure out what to listen to.

The section at 1:30 sounds pretty nice!

I think some study of song structure will do you good. What we have here is intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, slightly different verse, final chorus that feels pretty much the same as all the other choruses. Even 2 choruses there would have done more nicely than the current iteration, the final chorus having one or two more elements.

I like the sound choices and effects here but found the structure hard to follow as I just expected more than was there. Wish I had more nice things to say as the piece as a whole other than that is very creative!

This sounds SO 90's. Takes me back in time.

It's very quiet if I look at the waveform. I want to hear more volume on your toms and lower drums like that tabla or dholak -- cant tell what it is.

Structure wise, for the melodies, it's not boring, I just can't make out where exactly the hook is gonna be at.

I think the bass would do a lot better if it were in the center of the mix, not chorused to both channels like Tupac vocals, if you know what I mean.

If you're looking for samples and free instruments, check my newsposts. I made a pack myself, Adreanaline, and I try to post what I find around the web decent.

Recommend trying a free internet mastering service for the volume. It's pretty quiet.

Definitely a groove. Thanks for coming out to NGUAC!
